What is the difference between A-Level & BTEC?
BTEC (Double & Triple) are vocational based courses where students work within a framework of coursework based units. Over 2 years, students will complete 8 or 13 units/projects. Student attainment in each unit contributes towards their final grade at the end of the course.
A-Level Art & Design follows a similar structure to GCSE Art & Design. Students undertake a range of workshops in different specialisms at the start of the course & then progress onto an independent project & 3,000 word study (60% of A-Level) and an externally set project with 15 hour outcome (40% of A-Level)
